Minnesota Ice Dam Steaming & Roof Snow Removal
Some may say “Ice Dam Removal” but we like the term “Ice Dam Steaming.” Why? Because there is only one safe way to remove Ice Dams from your roof, Steaming! Steaming is the proven process of using super heated water at exactly the right temperature combined with the right amount of low pressure (psi) to create a safe and very effective way to cut through the Ice Dams and not your roof. Then this low pressure steam allows us to safely loosen the Dam’s grip from the roof and gutters.
Some companies use “High Pressure” Hot Water Pressure Washers, Chemicals, Axes, Hammers, Ice Picks and many other creative ways to remove the Ice Dams but all of these methods will cause damage to your roof and should never ever be considered! We are very experienced with all roofing types and pitches and we are fully insured for this exact service. We use O.S.H.A. approved safety equipment when conditions are met for our own safety and this also guarantees you that we will get the job done right the first time. Some companies are all about getting the job done quickly with only their pocket books in mind. They will come and remove the snow from only the edges of your roof just enough to expose the ice dams so they can remove them. This is not the correct way! We recommend removing all of the snow from the top of the roof down to the bottom and then the roof should get steamed from top to bottom.
The reason for this method is simple, “The snow melt creates the Ice Dams.” So when a company leaves 90% of the snow on your roof they are hoping you will call them back when you notice the Ice Dams forming again. We on the other hand will install heat lines on the roof after the roof is de-iced to guarantee the “Ice Dams” will not return again. So when you consider a company for this service please consider us because we are in this business to help you and your property make it through a long cold winter not just until the snow melts again and you have more Ice Dams. Thank You!
